1. Why was my enterprise selected?  
  Enterprises were randomly selected to ensure comprehensive coverage of the enterprise population in Singapore.

 

 
2. Is it compulsory to participate in the survey?  
  Our enterprise surveys are conducted under the Statistics Act (Chapter 317) which requires all selected enterprises to provide the necessary information. Your completed return is required by the Statistics Act. The participation of each enterprise is crucial to ensure that the industry data compiled are representative across the respective industries or sectors. A copy of the Statistic Act is available at https://www.imda.gov.sg/industry-development/facts-and-figures/survey-reports.

 

 
3. Can I request for extension of deadline in the submission of my survey?  
  We seek your cooperation to provide the required information in a timely manner. If you require further extension of the deadline in your submission of the survey, please contact our officers-in-charge of the surveys. Requests for extension are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

4. My company is currently not active during this survey period, what should I do?  
  If your enterprise is dormant, not in operation or ceased operation, please complete the ‘Dormant / Not in Operation Yet / Ceased Operation’ form found on last page of the questionnaire. You can fax the completed form to 6211-2209 or 6211-2235 or mail it to us using the pre-addressed envelope that was sent with the survey questionnaire. Alternatively, you can also email us with those details at mu@imda.gov.sg or ind@imda.gov.sg.

 

 
5. I do not have the latest data readily available currently, what should I do?  
  Please provide estimate(s) of your data to the best available knowledge.

 

 
6. I have misplaced my survey form. How can I get another copy?  
  After successful login at https://www.sims.gov.sg, the questionnaire is available (in Excel format) for download. Alternatively, you can also email us at mu@imda.gov.sg or ind@imda.gov.sg.

 

 
7. If I encounter problems with the online questionnaire, or need help to complete the survey, who can I contact?

8. How will my responses be used by IMDA?  
  All information collected in our survey is kept in confidence in accordance with Section 7 of the Statistics Act. The data is used solely for statistics purposes and only aggregated data will be published.
